Healthy Access Database

To help address the issue of the uninsured, NAHU has developed the Healthy Access Database, an online tool to inform American health care consumers about the coverage options available to them. The database contains information about private health insurance coverage as well as the many public and private programs available to Americans to help them obtain the medical care they need. Policymakers, the media and other interested parties can also use the database as a means of comparing health care coverage options for Americans on a state-by-state basis. Healthy Access Database

Find an Agent

The vast majority of NAHU's agent members are independent agents, which means they represent a number of different health insurance companies. They can help you evaluate coverage alternatives from many companies to find the best fit for your specific needs and budget. Your agent is also your advocate after the sale, to help resolve any enrollment or claims questions. Find an Agent

Role of the Professonal Agent

Every day, NAHU members work to obtain insurance for clients who are struggling to balance their desire to purchase high-quality and comprehensive health coverage with the reality of rapidly escalating medical care costs. One of NAHU's primary goals is to do everything we can to promote access to affordable health insurance coverage. NAHU members help millions of consumers by guiding them through the complexities of health insurance purchasing and enrollment while ensuring they get the best policy at the most affordable price. We seek to understand each personal situation to create recommendations that complement a client's financial and medical security needs. But our job does not end with the sale. Our licensed producers help their clients with claims issues, service questions and compliance matters throughout the life of each policy they sell. Role of the Professional Agent Brochure (PDF)
